I Almost Forgot My 3-Month-Old Baby in the Grocery Because of Spaghetti

My husband was carrying our super active 4-year old son while I was in charge of our 3-month-old daughter in her stroller. After buying them clothes for our trip to Baguio City on January 1 to 3, we went straight to the grocery to buy ingredients for our mini-party on New Year's Eve.

I was unable to create a grocery list, so my "mind castle" was busy remembering all the ingredients for Kare-Kare, Lengua in White Sauce, and Caldereta. At the same time, I was trying to get stuff for our daily needs - cooking oil, baby wipes, diapers, toiletries, etc.

Then suddenly I remembered Spaghetti! I asked my husband if he wanted me to cook Spaghetti for the party. I had to ask him multiple times because he's busy answering our 4-year-old son's weird questions. I wasn't aware that I accidentally left the stroller behind us because I was too busy following them and waiting for my man to finally answer my billion-dollar question.

Good thing we were only like 3 meters away before he reminded me that we have 2 kids. I immediately went back to get the stroller.

While there was no harm done, I was disappointed in myself. I didn't know that it was possible for me to forget something, or someone, so dear to me just because my brain was focused on something less important.

Maybe next time, I won't forget to create a grocery list. Or better yet, I'll use the baby carrier instead of the stroller.
