Midseason 2018 Return of the Arrowverse Series

arrowverse midseason 2018

One thing you should also know about me - I'm addicted to almost every DC TV Series of CW, specifically those on the Arrowverse Timeline. After the midseason break, I was very excited to watch my favorite TV shows again - starting from Supergirl to Arrow. I'm the only one in this house and in my circle of friends who watches these shows. Since I have no one to talk to about my addiction to Arrowverse, I'm just going to pour everything here.

Disclaimer: I wasn't able to read even a single page from the DC comics. But as a fan of these CW shows, I'll base the storylines on how the producers arrange them for their viewers.

Supergirl Season 3 Episode 10 - Legion of Superheroes

Supergirl Season 3 Episode 10 - Legion of Superheroes

The introduction of the Legion of Superheroes. The show starts with Kara being trapped in her loft/mind prison with a weird-colored guy with tiny lights on his head. Yes, it's Braniac 5! He stole the whole episode which is totally okay for me because I love him already!

As much as I wanted to think how they would defeat Reign, I'm currently more interested how they would put everything in order for Kara and Mon-El, since the latter's already married to the super hot Imra Ardeen a.k.a. Saturn Girl. My heart breaks every time I see Kara watching the two sharing intimate moments. Will the show kill-off Saturn Girl at the end of the season? Or maybe, since Imra Ardeen has a telepathic ability, she just manipulated Mon-El's mind and made him believe that they're married so their mission won't be jeopardized? The suspense is killing me!

The Flash Season 4 Episode 10 - The Trial of the Flash

The Flash Season 4 Episode 10 - The Trial of the Flash

With Barry Allen facing a murder sentence for being framed with Clifford DeVoe's death, I got to see the other characters' interesting sides. I was amazed by the acting skills of Kim Engelbrecht, the actress behind Clifford's wife Marlize DeVoe. I was also touched by Ralph Dibny, when he talked about the possible consequences of Joe's plan to plant fake shreds of evidence for the DeVoe's. Coming from Ralph? Boy, he has already come a long way! I just hope that the producers will give his character more developments soon. It's just a shame he was not in Crisis on Earth X.

Killer Frost - when would I be able to watch her wrapping up a fight without being knocked out after a few stunts?

Another question - when Barry stopped the time to talk to Iris inside the courthouse, is that newly-found ability of him really written in the DC Comics?

So with Barry being locked-up in his cell, who'll save Central City? Maybe it's time for Ralph a.k.a. The Elongated Man to shine? Wally West is already confirmed to guest on CW Legends of Tomorrow so it would be slightly impossible for CW The Flash to degrade his character more. Give the Kid Flash some justice, CW! The Legends would benefit a lot if there's a little speedster staying for good in the Waverider.

And speaking of The Legends of Tomorrow...

Unfortunately, the midseason return of The Legends of Tomorrow will be aired on February 12, 2018. Seriously? 3 weeks of torture!

The midseason finale was a disappointment, and the midseason return was worse (also, this whole season). As the series where it all started, it should be the most interesting, most anticipated, and most exciting part of the Arrowverse. I didn't like Laurel Lance a.k.a. The Black Canary, but ever since she was killed by Damien Darhk last 2 seasons, she took the whole show to her grave. And the flashbacks? They're starting to look like they're being forced just for the sake of sustaining Arrow's format.

About the midseason return - the three most annoying characters (Mr. Terrific, Wild Dog, and the new Black Canary) decided to form a new and separate team. And the villains - it seems like the producers had already run out of "villain ideas" so they just made a big "Anti-Green Arrow" team consisting of Dinah's ex, Black Siren, Cayden James, Oliver's former Russian friend, etc.

What to expect from the upcoming episodes? I'm pretty sure there will be a father and son drama between Oliver and his son since he broke his promise that he won't suit up as Green Arrow again. I heard that Roy Harper (a.k.a. Speedy) will be back. If this is true, then it's great! Bring back the original team! I also missed Thea kicking some ass!

Or maybe Team Arrow can adopt Wally West (Kid Flash). Don't get me wrong, I'm not a fan of Wally. I just feel sorry for the man and his character. He was a recurring character before he became a speedster. Oh well.
