Usually, a restaurant's branches should follow the same theme, price, policy, recipe, and serving. I'm not sure if the management of Rustica Restaurant has something to do with this - but these two branches, Rustica Tarlac and Rustica Angeles City seem to belong in different worlds.
We've been a fan of Rustica Restaurant, located at Concepcion in Tarlac, since 2014. Even though it's smaller than the branch in Angeles City, the place has this rustic and nostalgic aura. Aside from their delicious and authentic Filipino cuisine, the servings are significant and worth the price.
Rustica Restaurant in Angeles City is bigger, brighter, and more accessible. It's a head turner for all passers-by. It has more customers since it's in Pampanga where people prioritize food quality more than the price. However, the serving size of the food we ordered (Sinigang na Halo, Buttered Shrimp, and Sisig) is noticeably smaller. Since we have a deep stomach and a strong desire to compare things, we were slightly disappointed. Our total bill of Php 1,800 plus wasn't worth the amount of serving. Fortunately, the quality was still excellent.
Verdict
We're sticking to Rustica Restaurant in Concepcion, Tarlac.
